The Albert Lea Bus Company works with District #241 to ensure safe and quality transportation for your students.

Eligibility to ride the bus is determined by the distance between your student’s school of attendance and the primary address on file with Albert Lea Area Schools.

District Eligibility Rules:

K-5 students must be 1 mile or more away (home address) from their school of attendance.
6-12 students must be 2 miles or more away (home address) from their school of attendance.
Private contracts are available if your student doesn’t meet the eligibility.

Alternating location contracts are available if your student needs one additional pick up location and/or one additional drop off location. The limit is two locations for AM transportation and two locations for PM transportation. It is the responsibility of the student to know which location they are to ride to each day.
